We’re not kidding when we say a goat is the mini miracle that keeps on giving! Goats provide the nutrient-rich milk children need to stay healthy, while their kids can be sold to neighbouring families to generate an income. And, thanks to their amazing manure, families can grow delicious vegetables to sell, enabling them to send their children to school and opening up so many more opportunities for their future.

After ongoing droughts left the community's land in Tana river, Kenya dust dry, Abdia's father, Hassan, was struggling to grow the crops needed to feed his children. But after receiving their mini-miracle in the form of Greta the goat, Hassan's harvests have been un-bleat- evable thanks to Greta's super manure. These successful harvests have meant Hassan can grow enough food to guarantee a family meal every evening. And it’s not just the nutritious food Hassan is benefitting from. Greta also provides calcium-rich milk, while income raised from surplus crops means Hassan can afford to send his children back to school.
